August SAT Scores, and What's New at TutorStack
Hi everyone, John here.
August 22 SAT scores came out this morning. Students are already reporting Reading and Writing gains of 60 points or more. One student went from a 1400 to a 1510 in three weeks on Gauntlet!
We hope your students had similar success!
New Features This Week
Student Progress Reports
Pick the students and a date range. You get pace to goal, time on the platform, accuracy, weak skills closed, and week-over-week change.
Send the report as a PDF in one click. You can do a whole cohort at once. Soon we'll have these progress reports auto-emailed to students.
The parent version shows engagement, homework, accuracy, and the goal as a target. Example: "Currently tracking to 1570 for the 10.4.2026 test, against a 1400 goal."
Score trajectory covers Overall, Verbal, and Math. You also get activity, peer comparison, a domain breakdown, and a triage view.

Answer Journey
Answer Journey shows a student's full path through a question: what they picked, what they changed, what they crossed out, and how long each step took. Open it from the module report or the review screen.

Quick Summary and Predictions
We've also added the ability for students to create a summary and prediction while in tutored mode.

Assigning
You can assign a single test module instead of the whole test. Use that when you want Module 2 without sending Module 1 again.

The Educator Question Bank is in Content Studio if you are a tutor. Search it and assign from there.
You can assign individual questions with default accommodations already applied.
Sponsor Page and Invite Links
The Licenses page is now the Sponsor page. Select students, pay from the summary bar, check billing history, renew, or revoke access.
You can set a short alias for your student join link, like
https://passthegauntlet.com/invite/mr-jon
Test Day Experience
Simulation mode now runs in a Bluebook-style exam screen, so students rehearse in the same layout they will see on test day.

Highlighting and notes save. There are five colors, and they work on full passages. Cross-outs stay through the sitting. Drills can be paused and resumed.
Save & Exit is fixed. The back button no longer traps students. Mark for Review is fixed too.
Math Content
More than 400 new Gauntlet Math questions have already been published or going through QA. We use the same process as the rest of the bank: written and checked by real people, real experts. Put them on your students' study plan if you have students testing in September or October.

We've also started on The Gauntlet Math Challenge for 2027! The algebra questions are complete and will be added soon to The Gauntlet bank.
Vocabulary Flashcards
Six new sets are up, built from the May, June, and August 2026 SATs.
On the August test, 9 of the 22 words had appeared before. Eight of those nine are have been in our "high-frequency" sets from day one:
Belie · Heterogeneous · Incongruous · Anomalous · Detrimental · Exacerbate · Rectify · Portentous
The ninth is idiosyncratic. It is one of the three most repeated SAT words we have tracked, and it is in SAT High-Frequency Vol. 1.

The Books
The Gauntlet Ultimate SAT Math Challenge is updated on Amazon thanks great tutors pointing out a few typos here and there. The new release should be completely "bug" free! The Reading & Writing Gauntlet and the Vocab Challenge are listed with it.
That is the update. If you have any questions, email us at support@tutorstack.com.
